And here's the direct quote from Daniel Matthews:
I just created a The Shins - Best Of. I tried to choose their best songs naturally but I also tried to make the songs 'gel' as an album, to make it bit more of an interesting listen.
Track-listing:
Sleeping Lessons (Wincing The Night Away)
Eating Styes From Elephants Eyes (Nature Bears a Vacuum EP)
Australia (Wincing The Night Away)
Caring Is Creepy (Oh Inverted World)
Saint Simon (Chutes Too Narrow)
Know Your Onion! (Oh Inverted World)
Fighting In a Sack (Chutes Too Narrow)
Mine's Not a High Horse (Chutes Too Narrow)
Turn a Square (Chutes Too Narrow)
Turn On Me (Chutes Too Narrow)
Young Pilgrims (Chutes Too Narrow)
A Comet Appears (Wincing The Night Away)
I uploaded all three of The Shins' albums and Nature Bears a Vacuum EP, I thought you might be interested?

The Frames
Best-of The Frames
The Frames are a band formed by former member of The Commitments (of Mustang Sally fame) Glenn Hansard. Hailing from Ireland, they have been around for many a year - their first album 'Another Love Song' being released in1992. Their music is very accesible but at the same time unique. No band I have heard in the past 15 years (with perhaps the exception of Jeff Buckley) has been able to drag emotions from the listener in quite the same way. Capable of intense beauty (Your Face, Headlong, Locusts), eloquent anger (Stars are Underground) and brilliant [i hate to use this term] pop-rock (Fake) the Frames deserve a lot more recognition than they currently get. And to that end I have compiled this ZIP file. There is a mixture of Live stuff and Album stuff, and where there are 2 versions of 1 song (for example, a live version and a studio version) I have put them both as the same number in the list.
They are a much underrated band, and deserve more attention and praise, because they have the ability to stir emotions in the listener that other bands only dream of reaching. Going to a Frames concert can leave the listener feeling exhausted yet energised. In all, the Frames are one of the most underrated bands I can think of, and are well worth a listen to.

Welcome
This blog has been set-up with just one idea in mind; a place to share best-ofs from people's favourite bands. Nothing more, nothing less. This site will contain links to ZIP files to download, with a brief review of the band being 'bested' and mebbe a picture if I can find one. Any files to be uploaded to a file hosting website and the link sent to me at Welshyeti[AT]gmail.com
Enjoy, and start compiling.
